Tyler Daniel did an awesome job last Wednesday night, and we are going to continue that discussion of "MISSIO DEI-the Mission of God" this week. God is on a mission, and it would be a smart move to get on board with what HE is doing in our city, state, country, and the world.

We know some of you are participating in iBreak for Missions, and it gets us excited to see you guys serving the community! We're excited about a few dudes who are raising awareness and money to get kids out of slavery! You guys are discipling us! We keep hearing great things about the Atlanta Bread Group too! How it must please God to see students from multiple churches being Jesus to the community... KEEP IT UP! Your sermons of service are more powerful than you know!

We hope your break from school this week is a good one. Grab a friend and bring them to the big brown building on Rhea Road and Southwest Parkway this Wednesday, March 16th at 6:15pm. Let's talk about what God is doing, what we are doing, what others are doing, and what we can do together!

The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ made it possible for you and I to have a relationship with God. Christ bridged the gap of sin and death that we could never cross on our own. He made a way where there was no way!

Is Baptism for You?

Christian baptism is, according to the Bible, an outward testimony of what

has occurred inwardly in a believer’s life. Christian baptism illustrates a be-

liever’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible

declares, “Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ

Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with Him

through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the

dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life” (Romans

6:3-4). In Christian baptism, the action of being immersed in the water

symbolizes dying and being buried with Christ. The action of coming out of

the water pictures Christ’s resurrection.

In Christian baptism, there are two requirements before a person is bap-

tized: 1) the person being baptized must have trusted in Jesus Christ as

Savior, and 2) the person must understand what baptism signifies. If a per-

son knows the Lord Jesus as Savior, understands that Christian baptism is a

step of obedience in publicly proclaiming his faith in Christ, and desires to

be baptized, then there is no reason to prevent the believer from being

baptized. According to the Bible, Christian baptism is important because it

is a step of obedience—publicly declaring faith in Christ and commitment to

Him—an identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

If you have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation, and you understand what

baptism symbolizes... you are ready to be baptized! Call the church office

Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00 p.m. to find out when we will have our next

baptism celebration service.

Make plans to join other students at your school around the flagpole this Wednesday morning at 7am! God loves to hear his children talk to him. This Wednesday is the annual See You at the Pole (SYATP) for schools across the country. How amazing is it to think that you will praying with a bazillion (that's a lot) other students across the nation for changed lives in Jesus' name?! Our theme we adopted for SYATP is "One". We want you to commit to loving ONE person in the name of Christ this semester. Everyone knows a friend that needs Jesus... let's begin to pray for that ONE person this Wednesday!
